Goals / Objectives :

The MPATH project is focus on creating a mentoring model to help low skilled & long term unemployed workers to enter in the labour market & maintaining theirs job place. At the present, organizations & programs offer a broad range of various services to the unemployed wishing to work, but after their admission to jobs, they receive less attention.

MPATH project goals are:

1.       Develop new, innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning in context of career guidance in labour market, building on lessons learnt from MOMIE and MEGAN projects’;

2.      Identify the suitable profile and competencies to support or perform mentoring programs within companies, including delivering it in working contexts;

3.       Design a Mentoring model to improve competencies, namely with low skilled and long term unemployed workers, to enter in the labour market and maintaining their job place;

4.      Pilot a mentoring model to support small and medium companies and non-profit organisations (SME/O’s) retaining low skilled and long term unemployed adults (young-adults and adults), increasing the learning curve and productivity of those adults with high difficulties to re-enter in the labour market;

5.   Perform a randomized control trial to evaluate the mentoring model consistency, both in terms of training courses delivered; train the mentors and train the mentors trainers, mentoring implementation and job place retention.

3.       Intellectual Output 3: Mentees’ performance profile and competencies tool

4.      Intellectual Output 4: Low skilled and long term unemployed mentoring model

Create a mentoring program, based in the Pendulum mentoring model; integrating identified successful contents and aggregating into proactive labour market policies. Create job place retention schemes, integrating mentoring, in cooperation with enterprises. Design the mentoring model piloting: recruitment, selection, courses duration, testing period and evaluation features. Adaptation of mentoring models to the reality of each participating country.
